TPCI Chairman suggests, incentive to exporting units of SEZ would boost economy

It is suggested that the exporting units of SEZ be incentivised on the degree of value addition it brings to the product. Founder Chairman-Mohit Singla, Trade Promotion Council of India proposed a proportionate duty rebate and zero duty on import of raw material to those exporting units. Such an orientation would decrease the import of final products, boost outbound shipments, and would attract investments. Currently, an exporter in SEZ and a foreign exporter are at par when it comes to selling goods to a domestic tariff area (DTA).
