A class action against a robot lawyer filed with the US District Court

A service chatbot of DoNotPay is facing class action litigation for sending the texts without first obtaining the receiver’s express permission. It is contended that DoNotPay launched a mass telemarketing campaign that sent text solicitations to these consumers without their prior express consent.

Such solicitations and asking to sign up for services is a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
