Amazon is acquiring over MGM (Metro Goldwyn Mayer), the film studio behind films like James Bond, Legally Blonde and Shark Tank to boost the content library of its video streaming platform Amazon Prime video in a $8.45 billion. A quirky ad campaign over this topical issue is released by Amul. The ad features Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos standing next to the 8th lion used in MGM’s logo since 1957. The swoosh logo of Amazon is crypted in the lion’s smile along with the title ‘Bezos gets the lion’s share’.
The talented people at MGM & Amazon Studios together could develop Intellectual property” says Bezos. MGM library is a collection of over 4,000 film titles & 17,000 TV shows.
