Canada plans to go ahead with digital services tax- Minister

Canada’s Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade reiterated that it plans to go ahead with a digital services tax if need be, a move that would essentially hit digital market giants such as Google, Facebook. Last November, Canada said it intended to impose a tax on Corporations providing digital services from 2022. Ottawa stated that the levy would stay in place until there is a coordinated approach on taxing digital giants by major nations.
