Talking to analysts after announcing March earnings, Apple’s Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri said emerging markets like India which is part of the European geography for the company – have done “incredibly well, significantly better than company average.”
Apple has grown by 56% in its European operation in the March quarter and has been one of the geographies where results were better than even its own expectation. The researcher said iPhone sales grew by 207% year-on-year in the March quarter in India.
“The market-wide celebration will be short lived, as a resurgence of COVID-19 in India in Q2 will derail momentum,” said a latest report by Canalys.
