Google fined by France

Google is fined by France’s antitrust watchdog for not participating in the talks with news publishers. The talk was ordered to find common ground for the remuneration of news content online, under a recent EU directive that creates so-called “neighbouring rights”.
A fine of 500 million euros has been imposed on Google for the breach.
