IBF challenges the Bombay HC order on NTO 2.0

The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) filed a petition in the Supreme Court, challenging the Order of the Bombay High Court in the TRAI tariff order amendment case.

Bombay HC upheld the constitutional validity of the TRAI notification amending National Tariff Order 2.0. With this notification earlier, TRAI reduced the MRP of standalone or la carte channels from Rs 19 to Rs 12 and also introduced conditions, which would effectively restrict the broadcasters’ ability to price their channels and bouquets.
