As a solution to the devastating Covid-19 pandemic, Flipkart has announced its Big Saving Days on Sunday & Amazon India is planning for the event of a sale next month. As the relaxation on lockdown is implemented e-tailers are exploring new avenues for recovery in all sectors. In order to incentivize sellers, Flipkart is ready to bear the full expenses of shipping except for grocery shopping. Such gimmicks will help create demands for both the seller & customer sides. The loosening of lockdown restrictions has brought down the Average Selling Price or ASP in particular segments like Fashion. Amazon had to postpone its major flagship event Prime day in India which they are counting on in the next month. Amazon’s India country head Amit Agarwal is expecting customers to be back as they browse across the listed products. For now, people are avoiding offline shopping & the online daily shipment has reached up to 5.5 million. Sellers expect a boom in the festive season. Last year the recorded gross sales were more than $8 billion during the festive season. There would be no disruption in the recovery until the third wave persists.
