MeitY launches new initiatives to increase IPv6 adoption in India

The Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) launched three new initiatives–IP Guru, NIXI Academy, and NIXI-IP-Index to help Indian entities migrate and adopt Internet Protocol version IPv6. These initiatives were launched by Ajay Prakash Sawhney, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. For this initiative, MeitY has joined hands with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), and the community to promote IPv6, and comprises members from government and private organisations. The academy comprises an IPv6 training portal that seeks to provide mass training to the community. It can be used to compare the IPv6 Indian adoption rate with other economies in the world. NIXI said it plans to implement features such as web adoption in IPv6, IPv6 traffic, etc., in the coming days to the portal.
