MoP issued a clarification on PPA exit after CERC’s order

The Ministry on Power on Tuesday while affirming the requests of BSES Delhi discoms clarified that the power distribution companies can exit the power purchase agreements (PPA) after completion of years since the commissioning of the project.

The clarification is a welcome move where it would reduce the burden of the fixed costs on distribution companies that have stopped scheduling power from plants.
