A Republican & a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives introduced a bill that is aiming at reigning powerful app stores run by companies including Apple Inc. & Alphabet Inc. The bipartisan trio of senators proposed the bill that would bar big app stores to use alternate app stores & payment systems. Google & Apple had a monopoly over the market that forced other app developers to fulfill certain terms. U.S. consumers had spent $33 billion last year on mobile apps by downloading 13.4 billion apps. Apple app stores provide their services at $53.8 billion. House Judiciary Committee has thus passed six antitrust measures to end the monopoly of tech giants such as Google, Amazon, Apple & Facebook.
