Uber drivers are considering filing an appeal in a Dutch case involving data access

A group representing former Uber drivers in the United Kingdom is discussing whether to appeal a Dutch court’s ruling in favour of the ride-hailing firm in a dispute over access to data obtained on drivers. Uber was ordered to furnish drivers with details about rider ratings on specific trips if the information was anonymized, but some other claims were ignored. “This is a crucial decision,” Uber spokesman Gus Glover said in a statement. “The Court has confirmed Uber’s dispatch system does not equate to automated decision making, and that we provided drivers with the data they are entitled to.”
