Vodafone Idea posted that it lost Rs 6453.2 crore in the fiscal third quarter. It comes in the backdrop of loss of subscribers, high costs and a one-time charge related to its adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues. It is the sixth successive quarter in the red for the company.
The quarterly results come as Vodafone Idea and other Indian telecom firms are pressured by government demands to pay $13 billion in overdue levies in a long-contested dispute.
The company had a loss of Rs 50,921.9 crore in the July-September quarter. It was the highest ever for a in corporate India.
